HISTORY
  Russian doctor, Osip Krichevsky invented milk powder in 1802. It can be found plentifully in developing world for reasons such as reduced transport and storage costs. It does not need to be refrigerated.As the other dry food stuff it has been considered nonperishable and it is favored by many hikers, survivalists and others in need of nonperishable easy to prepare food stuffs.  
 

APPLICATIONS
  Milk powder is being used for production of: dairy products, milk- based drinks, beverages, ice-cream, soups and sauces, biscuits, infant food, bakery, confectionary products and where adding liquid milk would render the product too thin to be used. It has also been a sizeable portion of UN food aid supplies. Milk powder is also used in Western blots as a blocking agent to prevent nonspecific protein interactions.
